Where does Jared go?

Lately Jared has been disappearing for lengths of time. As usual when someone leaves, we'll say "Where're ya goin'?", and lately he's been saying, "Out". Or, sometimes, nothing at all.

He leaves with his backpack and, at least once, with his type-writer.

Theories:

• He's a government agent and he's reporting on Dicky's file-stealing.
• He's meeting his new boyfriend.
• He's attempting to suck his own penis and is using the typewriter as a distraction.

Wherever Jared went, he went there for good.
